From the recording Clarity 2020 Vision
This song is simply a response to those critics that don’t believe this type of music should be created.
Lyrics
“True Christian”
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
Galatians 5:1 NIV
True Christian son
You ain’t a true Christian/ I’m constantly hearing/ if you were you wouldn’t be spitting/ that lyricism/ over those beats blended/ in a worldly position/ never mind/ the rhymes and truth your given/ Accustomed to one form of music for my religion/ and that ain’t it/ too different/ so support from many that believes non-existent/ All good cuzz I’m not counting on them/ in that pious attitude exuded about my mission/ Christ’ is in con/trol/ with everything I’m presenting/ so I think I’ll tap into that water that’s living/ go head keep missing the spiritual position/ this muzic is inching/ toward since the beginning/ if it’s reach one/ then I’ve listened/ to what the Lord asked me to do (what’s that madskill?) witness/ like Lebron James/ But acclaim/ the name/ of Jesus Christ with no shame/ unchanged/ from the day/ He freed my brain/ true woke saved from flames/ some wane/ cuzz that bling, money, and culture pressure’s remains/ left them in chains/ blame improperly placed/ man these last days/ faith’s/ gotta be displayed/ this maze of rhetoric’s/ unsettling/ and if not careful can lose your way/ get swept in the theories of today/ aim/ click shoot/ when in the booth/ the Holy Spirit let’s loose/ obtuse/ poetic hues/ of red/ green/ purple/ blue/ views that are straight forward moves/ toward The truth/ raised from the tomb/ but not exhumed/ He’s liver than endless gardens in full bloom/ so you/ better get that umbrella cuzz the storm is coming soon/ check the tune/ this true Christians in the room/ those stuck on fumes/ ask for that sweet perfume/ they can consume/ it’s right here/ Gods fierce love gets us through/ by Christ’ sacrifice/ all that receive Him becomes new/ a lot to do/ harvest is full/ workers are few/ every move/ be glued to Him/ Christians stay true/
(Hook) True Christian
Pay no attention/ to their position/ just keep ministering/ focus on Him and/ don’t give in/ be that ignition/my true Christians/
(I do not have the energy to try to do the work necessary to figure out what the vocalist is attempting to say. I grew up in a time and place where one does not associate rap with Christian music.)
(This sounds like a very different Christian song to me. The title of the song and the lyrics are kind of different. I don't really like the music.)
Cali is getting wild/ trying to legalizing these pedophiles/ while/ Christian brothers treated vile/ not allowed to say a sins foul/ called homophobe quicker than speed dial/ see how/ many likes I get now/ wow/ truly witness/ to those repentant in the crowd/ but not with simpleton/ watered down/ loud/ non-existent/ not found/ in scriptures/ give em what they wanna hear sound/ for ears itching/ way of deliverance/ a sins a sin/ whether lying/ cheating/ or stealing/ but what’s more revealing/ is how many want to justify their position/ logically like Christ is listening/ only in Cali/ that back ally dealing/ from satans henchmen/ got the governor signing bills into existence/ hidden agendas/ should be sent in/ the waste basket/ how and why did this to happen/ fell for antics/ in a panic/ while this pandemic caused damage /in front of my plastic/ eye wear/ some swear/ ask why do I care?/ cuzz Christ dared/ gave His life for me while I was spiritually unaware/ Urged to share/ by the Holy Spirit who makes things clear/ keep on task/ continue to unmask enemy snares/ despite stares/ evil glares/ dropped in circled square/ cancel culture doesn’t want to hear/ they close ears/ beware/ and get prepared/true Christians everywhere/ get prepared true Christians everywhere
True Christian (Hook)
Pay no attention/ to their position/ just keep ministering/ focus on Him and/ don’t give in/ be that ignition/my true Christians/
(I think this track needs a great deal of work before it is released. It has some very immature and undeveloped vocals/rapping lyrics. I think it sounds more like talking then music. I think it sounds more like you want to preach or talk to someone than sing.)
(I do not like talking in a song and this has plenty of talking. I do not like the Lyrics either. A song is for singing and a CHristian song for me is to be inspiring and this is not.)
“Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. For the word of the Lord is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.”
Psalms 33:2-4 NIV
True Christian!!!
